This site is a tribute to Charles Wordingham. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
Charles was born in Barry, South Wales. He lived in Brighton from his student days until he retired to Wells next the Sea.
Charles had good friends everywhere he went. Charles in turn was a good friend to all.
He died peacefully, from cancer but not in pain, in Colchester where his family and partner were able to be with him in his last weeks. He died with an assurance of his salvation. May he rest in peace.

Thoughts
Charles first joined our group of 50 friends in 2013 to share our annual residential Cwtch weekend on Gower, South Wales. His wry sense of humour, friendly personality and willingness to share every aspect of the weekend immediately won all our hearts. Charles along with Elizabeth came to many of our weekends, we will all miss him greatly.

I met Charles through my father, whom he was great friends with. I had conversations with Charles about many topics from the mundane to the esoteric and always thoroughly enjoyed them. If there were more people like Charles the world would be a merrier place.

Charles was a lovely, interesting, gregarious and genuine man. I had very interesting conversations with him on the Big Lemon bus walks and holidays.
He was extremely kind to me when I got frightened of heights on the walks.
He had a very special relationship with Elizabeth and I really enjoyed spending time with the two of them as well.
I'm sad that he is no longer with us.
